I was just wondering can the sub-forums which appear below the topics in a forum can be moved by modifying the templates. If yes, could someone tell me template to modify?

Maybe you do not understand what I am referring to.

Example:
Forum - Topics
Sub-Forums

I want to move the sub-forums to the top.

Try this for PunBB :
Display > Templates > General > index_box

Find :
Code:
<td class="tcl" style="padding-right: {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_RIGHT}; padding-left: {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_LEFT};">
 <span class="status" style="margin-right: -{catrow.forumrow.INC_WIDTH_ICON}; margin-left: -{catrow.forumrow.INC_WIDTH_ICON};">
 <img title="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" src="{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}" alt="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" />
 </span>
 <h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL} class="hierarchy"><a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumtitle">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a></h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL}>
 <br />
 {catrow.forumrow.FORUM_DESC}
 <!-- BEGIN switch_moderators_links -->
 <br />
 {catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.L_MODERATOR}{catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.MODERATORS}
 <!-- END switch_moderators_links -->
 {catrow.forumrow.L_LINKS}{catrow.forumrow.LINKS}
 <strong>{forumrow.L_SUBFORUM_STR}</strong> {forumrow.SUBFORUMS}
 </td>

Replace by :
Code:
<td class="tcl" style="padding-right: {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_RIGHT}; padding-left: {catrow.forumrow.INC_LEVEL_LEFT};">
 <span class="status" style="margin-right: -{catrow.forumrow.INC_WIDTH_ICON}; margin-left: -{catrow.forumrow.INC_WIDTH_ICON};">
 <img title="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" src="{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG}" alt="{catrow.forumrow.L_FORUM_FOLDER_ALT}" />
 </span>
 <div class="sublinks">{catrow.forumrow.L_LINKS}{catrow.forumrow.LINKS}
                                                        <strong>{forumrow.L_SUBFORUM_STR}</strong> {forumrow.SUBFORUMS}</div>
 <h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL} class="hierarchy"><a href="{catrow.forumrow.U_VIEWFORUM}" class="forumtitle">{catrow.forumrow.FORUM_NAME}</a></h{catrow.forumrow.LEVEL}>
 <br />
 {catrow.forumrow.FORUM_DESC}
 <!-- BEGIN switch_moderators_links -->
 <br />
 {catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.L_MODERATOR}{catrow.forumrow.switch_moderators_links.MODERATORS}
 <!-- END switch_moderators_links -->
 </td>

Save and publish.

The result should be :

Since this is in the Invision section, I was wanting it for Invision.

I am talking about the sub-forums in a forum, not the sub-forums on the homepage.

Another example:
Category: Staff Lounge
Forum: The Forum
In The Forum (sub-forums): Staff Offices and Tutorial Factory

In Invision the sub-forums appear below the topics in a forum. I want to move them to the above the topics.

OOH sorry I missed that ! Shocked

Go to Templates > General > viewforum_body

Find and remove :
Code:
{BOARD_INDEX}

Find :
Code:
<ul id="navstrip" class="clearfix">
 <li class="begin"><a href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a></li>
 {NAV_CAT_DESC}
</ul>

Replace by :
Code:
<ul id="navstrip" class="clearfix">
 <li class="begin"><a href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a></li>
 {NAV_CAT_DESC}
</ul>

{BOARD_INDEX}

Then save and publish.
